Welcome to Casa Doce - hosted by Sally Martel

Three years ago, I fell in love with a traditional Portuguese townhouse in the heart of Silves and decided to make it my own. Since then, I’ve lovingly refurbished Casa Doce, blending modern comfort with the charm and character of its original features.

Step into the lounge and you’ll notice the striking geometric floor tiles, which have graced the room for over 50 years. In the kitchen, the story goes even further back — the patterned tiles under your feet are believed to be over 100 years old, quietly telling the history of the home.

Every detail has been chosen to honour the house’s heritage while making it a welcoming, relaxing space for guests. I’m excited to share the magic of Silves with you, from its cobbled streets and medieval castle to its riverside cafés and vibrant local markets.
